Emotional Dysregulation
One moment they’re laughing. The next, they’re screaming, crying, or shutting down completely.
For some children, emotions arrive with an intensity they don’t yet know how to handle. What looks like “overreacting” is often a sign that a child needs support, not discipline.
Through play-based behaviour therapy, we help children build emotional regulation skills and support parents with effective response strategies.
Many parents are told to “wait”, “be patient”, or “they’ll grow out of it.” Sometimes that’s true. Sometimes it isn’t.
A consultation doesn’t commit you to therapy—it simply helps you understand your child’s needs and explore available support options.
When in doubt, gather information first. Decisions can wait; understanding shouldn’t.
Our emotional regulation therapy helps children manage strong emotions, improve coping skills, build self-regulation, and develop resilience.
